Jonathan Waits for Trip to U.S.

October 2019

With the season in the UK coming to a close until spring of 2020, Jonathan is hoping to travel out to the United States very soon to continue competing in his bid to one day make it to the PGA Tour. Jonathan's feels that his game has reached new heights over the summer in the UK, and feels he is ready more than ever to secure himself a tour card as his performances and scores are continually tredning in the right direction. His continued work with coach Jared Steger out of Chicago and personal trainer Dan Shipman of Full Torque Fitness is preparing Jonathan for his plan to return to the U.S. to compete. Unfortunately after 6 months of waiting he still has not heard any news about his his visa, and therefore missed the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School. While Jonathan remains at home in the UK, he is practising at his home course, Clacton-on-sea Golf Club just minutes from where he grew up, and will be preparing for PGA Korn Ferry Tour events, and the PGA Canadian Mckenzie Tour Qualification Event.

Jonathan's work with his coaches has been going very well. In particular, Jonathan has focused his training with Jared Steger on improving the areas of his game that weren't quite upto scratch with the likes of Justin Rose and Jordan Speith. With the help of a company based in West Palm, Florida called Every Ball Counts (EBC), and the anayltics company AnoveGolf, Jonathan and his team have been able to identify those areas, and signifcantly change his training regimen to get his game ready for playng on tour.
